CAD Designer- Jewellery

Note: This is a retainer/ Contractual role

Job Details

The role is accountable to develop CAD designs product superiority standards and to ensure design feasibility, technical accuracy, and timely delivery of high-quality CADs in HD Route.

Responsible (PDIS to 3D CAD) to develop the CAD designs and CAM model as per the PDIS details/price point/aesthetics; to convert the 2D drawings to 3D model to evaluate the future product aligned to the design and to make necessary modifications to create aesthetically and functionally sound Products which are manufacturable for bulk.

Work Experience

Process Contribution

1. Develop the CAD design as per the requirements aligned to the product brief/PDIS.

2. Make necessary modifications as per the recommendations and liaison with the vendor in the development of the CAD model.

3. Expert eye in Visualization of 2D to 3D for better CAD/CAM output.

4. Supporting for the on-time proto completion for display

Product Development:Stakeholder Interaction

1. Interaction with the Manual Designer/Design coordinator during Design loading discussion and understanding their specific requirement for better CAD output.

2. Responsible to improvise the existing CAD parameters and suggest new techniques/settings/parameters for optimum and quality output.

3. Responsible for driving Product superiority and WBQ 2.0 in CAD and ensuring its 100% implementation for CAD created by self.

4. Finding out the operational CAD-related day to day issues and providing solutions by POC and sampling by close interaction with the NPD/Cam team.

Process Innovation

1. Develop alternate solutions which are cost-efficient innovative to existing problems based on benchmarks and competitor analysis

2. Ensure that quality is built in the product through review at each stage.

3. Self-improvisation by doing trial and error for the challenging products and cracking the technical with own self.

4. Creation of new concepts through CAD by taking inspiration from various references like online/shows and trends/techniques etc.

5. Look for new techniques/Setting/ Cad Tools

• Any Degree or Diploma in Jewellery/Mechanical /Production Engineering.

Relevant Experience

• 5 years of experience in CAD design in the Jewellery Industry.

• Knowledge of the design tool- Rhino/Matrix gold / Zbrush
• Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
