Job Description
- We are currently seeking a proactive and technically skilled Software Deployment & Support Engineer to become a valuable member of our team. In this position, your primary responsibilities will include building, deploying, testing, and supporting our application across various customer environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in C++ programming and basic knowledge of databases. Moreover, superior communication and troubleshooting abilities are essential for success in this role.
Your main duties will revolve around debugging and troubleshooting issues within our C++ application, managing cross-platform deployments on Windows and Linux, and handling data tasks that involve integrating Excel sheets with the application. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting functional testing, generating structured reports based on test outcomes, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure deployment readiness. As part of this role, you will be required to travel to customer locations for on-site deployment and support, as well as maintain and manage code versions using Git.
To excel in this position, you must demonstrate proficiency in debugging and working with C++ code, possess a basic understanding of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, and have hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems. Furthermore, familiarity with Excel for application-driven data handling, experience with Git version control, and a willingness to travel to client sites for on-premise deployment and support are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, are also crucial for this role.
Preferred qualifications that would be considered a bonus include experience with the Qt framework for UI and application development, previous involvement in customer-facing roles or application support, familiarity with scripting languages for automation tasks, and experience in writing user guides or technical documentation.,
