Job Title: IT Lead Engineer (Infrastructure & Operations)

We have an opportunity for a Lead IT Infrastructure engineer

(Individual Contributor role) for a leading R&D product company in Bengaluru. The IT Lead Engineer will be the single point of accountability for the end-to-end IT ecosystem of our production and R&D facilities. This role demands a proactive leader who can balance boots-on-the-ground technical troubleshooting with high-level infrastructure design and stakeholder management. You will ensure zero-to-minimal impact on business operations while driving the digital resilience of the organization.

1) IT Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management

a) End-to-End IT Ownership: Drive complete IT operations for the facility, overseeing the full lifecycle of hardware and software-from procurement and deployment to decommissioning.

b) Network Architecture: Lead the physical and logical deployment of multi-site LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networks across office locations.

c) Systems Administration: Manage servers (Windows/Linux), core switching, routing, and point-to-point link, Access point.Run IT helpdesk operations, managing ticketing workflows, SLA tracking, and Tier-2/3 support for endpoints and peripherals

d) Network Security: Administer enterprise firewalls, Routers, Switches, access points(NAT, VPN tunnels failover, troubleshooting).

e) Incident Management: Act as the primary lead for critical outages, lead troubleshooting calls and perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement permanent preventive measures.

2) Documentation & Digital Transformation

a) Technical Design: Develop and maintain high-quality High/ Low-Level Designs

(LLDs), SOPs, and manage Storage devices.

b) IT innovation: Develop IT automation tools using LLMs and scripting to improve operational efficiency.

3) Backup Management:

a) Data backup Own the end-to-end backup strategy for critical servers,Firewalls, Aruba APs, R&D data, and ERP integrations, ensuring the 3-2-1 backup rule is strictly followed.

b) Recovery Testing: Schedule and perform periodic DR drills (Failover/Failback) for critical network links, servers, and applications; document results and remediate gaps.

4) Stakeholder and Vendor collaboration

a) Business Alignment: Act as the IT point of contact for aligning IT strategy with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders with proven Communication and Technical skills.

b) Vendor Management: Coordinate with OEMs and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure high-quality delivery of services and warranty claims.

Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, ComptiA+
