Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Lead customer development for State and Private segments, including:
Opportunity creation
Order acquisition
Achieving sales targets
Credit control
- Analyze customer data, feedback, government policies, market conditions, and competitor insights to support business development and sales strategy
- Create long-term strategic roadmaps for multiple business units
- Drive strategic directions using market intelligence and Blue Ocean initiatives
- Build and lead high-performing sales teams; enhance capability and engagement
- Experience in:
Power Transformers (100-1500 MVA, 765kV)
Gas Insulated Switchgears (66-765kV)
Distribution Transformers (5kVA to 30 MVA, 33kV, IDT)
Surge Arresters (up to 765kV)
EPC (up to 765kV)
- Drive sales transformation from products to solutions
- Maintain strong external focus with government bodies, industry forums, and regulatory/policy environments
- Extensive experience in the Power sector
Preferred candidate profile
- Ability to engage with diverse customer segments (State and Private) at leadership level

- Strong external orientation with experience in government bodies, industry forums, and regulatory/policy environments
- Over 20 years of total professional experience
- Minimum 5 years in leadership roles
- Minimum 5 years of experience creating innovative solutions within the industry/sector
- Minimum 10 years in Sales & Marketing in the T&D sector (Government or Private, B2B segment)
- Age below 48 years
- Proven leadership in Sales and Business Development roles
- Strong capability in building key customer relationships and driving opportunity creation
- Strategic: Design and execute strategies for market breakthroughs; consultative selling ability
- Financial: Drive sales with improved margins; oversee revenues, expenditures, and budgets
- Operational: Build and sustain key customer relationships; implement modern BD techniques for efficiency and margin improvement
- People: Develop and mentor teams; enhance sales competencies through coaching and engagement
