JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE : Electrical Design Engineer

QUALIFICATION : B.E Electrical

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : 10 to 20 Years

JOB LOCATION : Bangalore

• Experience of electrical requirement in FPSO topside modules / Offshore installations
• Preparation of electrical & Telecommunication deliverables such as Single Line Diagram, Load Schedule, Motor Control Schedule, Cable schedule, Cable routing drawing, Power and Control drawing, Area Classification drawing, grounding drawing, etc.
• Sufficient knowledge of International Codes & Standards in relation to Electrical Design.
• Familiar with Electrical Equipment such as Transformers, HV & LV Switchgear, MCC, Motors, UPS, LCS, Communication equipments, etc..
• Able to perform Electrical calculations such as Cable sizing/voltage Drop calculations, etc.
• Coordination works with other disciplines and review of other disciplines (e.g. Mechanical, Instrument and etc.) equipment packages/ specification/ datasheets.
• Construction/Fabrication yard Assistance - to provide supervision at the construction site
• Procurement Assistance - to provide Material Requisition, data sheet , prepare Technical bid tabulation. Vendor Print Review & Inspections of Electrical Equipments
• Experience in Preparation of Cable Block diagram, Lighting Block Diagram, Paga Loop Diagram using Aveva Electrical
• Experience of Reflux & Rhino Software
• Able to review 3D Model & Attending Model Review with Client.
• Review of Construction Layouts

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage electrical design projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  
• Develop detailed designs using ETAP software, including cable sizing, earthing calculations, and lighting layouts.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall project plans.
  
• Conduct site visits to inspect installations and troubleshoot issues related to electrical equipment and infrastructure.
  
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on electrical design principles and best practices.
