Product Planning Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Planning & Execution Specialist to drive product strategy, localization, and execution for our Innovation Hardware portfolio in the India market. This role will bridge local market needs with Global HQ, ensuring that product planning, feature prioritization, and go-to-market execution align with customer expectations and business objectives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Product Planning, Product Management, Product Strategy, Product Operations, or Product Marketing within Consumer Electronics, Smart Devices, AI Hardware, IoT, or Telecom industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate market intelligence and user research insights into actionable product planning recommendations for the India market.
• Analyze consumer trends, competitive landscape, and business opportunities to influence product strategy.
• Support category planning and long-term product roadmap development.
• Represent the India market in Global HQ product planning and project initiation discussions.
• Advocate regional customer needs, market opportunities, and feature priorities.
• Collaborate with Global Product Managers to align product roadmaps, feature sets, and development timelines.
  
• Prepare, prioritize, and manage product requirement documents with clear business justification.
• Track development progress and proactively communicate market-driven requirement changes.
• Partner with Country Managers, Sales, Marketing, User Research, R&D, and Product teams to collect market feedback and improve product offerings.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate communication between India teams and Global HQ to ensure smooth execution.
• Lead local product launch readiness activities, including:
• Product positioning
• Selling point development
• Product training materials
• Product certification coordination
• Collaborate with local R&D teams to support localization features and validate user experience before commercial launch.
• Monitor product performance, sell-through, market share, customer feedback, and competitive positioning.
• Identify improvement opportunities and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve product-related issues.
• Organize cross-functional product planning meetings and project reviews.
• Coordinate resources and administrative activities for the local Innovation Hardware team.
• Prepare regular reports on product roadmap progress, pipeline status, launch readiness, and business performance for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
• 3–10 years of experience in:
