Role Overview

The AWS DevOps Engineer (L3) will build, automate, deploy, and support AWS infrastructure and applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS networking and IAM, CI/CD, and serverless services. The engineer should also have working knowledge of AWS CDK to support updates to the current solution and potential future migration of infrastructure from CDK to Terraform. Experience with Amazon Neptune and secure connectivity across AWS accounts is essential for enabling data-source scanning and ingestion into the graph database.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain reusable Terraform code for provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure.

· Review and update existing AWS CDK code when changes are required, and support potential CDK-to-Terraform migration activities.

· Design, deploy, and support Amazon Neptune clusters, including networking, security, availability, backup, monitoring, and performance considerations.

· Configure secure connectivity across AWS accounts to scan and ingest data sources into Amazon Neptune.

· Manage AWS VPC components including subnets, route tables, security groups, VPC peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and DNS.

· Implement and manage IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege cross-account access.

· Build and support serverless workflows using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, and API Gateway.

· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.

· Implement monitoring, logging, and ing using Amazon CloudWatch and related AWS services.

· Troubleshoot deployment, networking, IAM, connectivity, and production issues across AWS environments.

· Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills and Experience

· 6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations.

· Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and production cloud environments.

· Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state management, and automated deployments.

· Basic to intermediate knowledge of AWS CDK, with the ability to understand and update existing CDK code.

· Experience with Amazon Neptune or a comparable graph database, including cluster design, deployment, networking, security, and operations.

· Strong knowledge of AWS VPC networking, routing, security groups, DNS, PrivateLink, VPC peering, and Transit Gateway.

· Hands-on experience with AWS IAM roles, policies, least-privilege access, and cross-account permissions.

· Experience with multi-account AWS connectivity and troubleshooting cross-account network and access issues.

· Experience building serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.

· Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automated infrastructure and application deployments.

· Good Linux, Git, scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.

· Terraform certification.

· Experience supporting infrastructure migration from AWS CDK to Terraform.

· Experience operating AWS workloads in enterprise multi-account environments.
