Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Trendlyne, you will work closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to define, scope, and deliver top-notch products and features that cater to key user needs. You will be responsible for translating requirements into system architecture, considering performance issues related to handling large volumes of data and serving numerous API requests every hour. Taking complete ownership of the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to release, will be a key aspect of your role.

Your role will involve writing and maintaining technical documentation to facilitate efficient delivery by other engineers. Embracing design and code reviews will be essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality code. You will play a pivotal role in elevating Trendlyne to new heights as an engineering team. Developing and enforcing best practices within the development team through code reviews will be crucial.
As a core team member, you will be working with cutting-edge technologies such as AI products, online backtesting, data visualization, and machine learning. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining scalable, robust backend systems using Python and the Django framework. A sound understanding of web and mobile application performance will be required in this role. Additionally, mentoring junior developers and fostering skill development within the team will be part of your responsibilities.

To excel in this role, you should have at least 1 year of experience working with Python and Django. A strong understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis is essential. Experience with web front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS would be advantageous.
