Unified Vision Capital - Team Leader - Client Coverage - Investment Banking

ROLE PURPOSE:
The incumbent will spearhead the Client Coverage team for our Hyderabad office, focusing on strengthening relationships with corporates and investors across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh while driving origination of complex investment banking transactions.
The role provides exposure to a diverse range of deals including structured finance, M&A, equity fundraises, and capital market transactions across sectors - with execution support from UVC's Mumbai hub.
P&L ACCOUNTABILITY:
- This is a P&L-owning leadership role.
- The Team Leader holds direct accountability for revenue generation, deal origination targets, and cost management for the Hyderabad Client Coverage vertical and team.
- Compensation and progression are tied to vertical P&L performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Client Coverage & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the senior liaison for corporate clients across Hyderabad, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, delivering high-quality relationship management.
- Originate new business by understanding client strategies, industry dynamics, and capital requirements - including pharma, life sciences, IT/ITeS, and infrastructure corporates.
- Collaborate with senior bankers in Mumbai to shape and execute relationship strategies aligned to client growth.
- Ensure seamless coordination across product and sector teams for integrated client service delivery.
Origination & Transaction Advisory:

- Develop and present tailored financing and strategic solutions in collaboration with sector/product teams.
- Lead the preparation of client materials including pitchbooks, company profiles, and financing proposals.
- Identify opportunities for M&A, equity/debt issuance, and restructuring based on financial analysis and market benchmarking.
Deal Execution Leadership:
- Drive execution of complex transactions in coordination with the Mumbai execution team: prepare information memorandums, support due diligence, coordinate with third-party advisors, and ensure compliance with risk/legal protocols.
- Review and validate financial models, valuation analyses, and investor presentations.
- Oversee deal timelines and ensure transparent client communications throughout.
Investor Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with PE/credit funds, onshore and offshore GPs and LPs relevant to deals originated from Hyderabad.
- Identify investor mandates and match suitable proposals and transactions.
- Manage end-to-end investor interactions to ensure successful deal placement.
Sector & Market Intelligence:
- Develop deep expertise across pharma, life sciences, IT/ITeS, and infrastructure - sectors dominant in the region - acting as a thought partner to clients.
- Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and competitive developments affecting clients.
- Share regular insights on sector outlooks, capital markets, and potential inorganic opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA/CFA preferred.
- 15+ years of overall experience, with 10+ years in investment banking, corporate finance, or client relationship leadership.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams/verticals and investor coordination, including direct P&L ownership.
- Proven track record in client coverage and execution of complex transactions, with existing relationships across large corporates and promoter groups in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
- In-depth knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and global financial markets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
