Assistant Manager – Human Resources

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - HR will support the HR Manager in overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance within the NBFC. The role requires strong understanding of financial sector HR practices, regulatory compliance, and talent management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for various roles (sales, credit, operations, collections)
• Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements
• Source candidates through job portals, consultants, and referrals
• Conduct interviews and assist in final selection

2. Employee Onboarding & Engagement

• Ensure smooth onboarding and induction of new hires
• Design and implement employee engagement initiatives
• Handle employee grievances and maintain a positive work environment

3. Performance Management

• Support implementation of PMS (Performance Management System)
• Track employee performance and assist in appraisals
• Coordinate training and development programs

4. HR Operations & Compliance

• Maintain employee records and HRMIS systems
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and RBI/NBFC guidelines
• Handle payroll coordination, attendance, and leave management

5. Policy Implementation

• Assist in developing and updating HR policies
• Ensure proper communication and enforcement of company policies

6. Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare HR reports (attrition, hiring metrics, productivity)
• Analyze HR data to support decision-making

• Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
• Understanding of NBFC/financial services industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency in MS Office and HR software

Qualifications:

• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field
• 3-6 years of HR experience (preferably in NBFC, BFSI, or financial services)
• Preferred Experience
• Experience in high-volume hiring (sales/field roles)
• Familiarity with compliance requirements in financial institutions
