Analyst MIS, Budgeting & Costing
Education:
CMA / ICWA (preferred), CA, MBA (Finance)
Experience:
CMA + 7 to 10 years or a CA with 3-4 years' experience, with ownership of budgeting, costing, MIS, variance analysis, and business partnering responsibilities. This aligns well with manufacturing and plant finance environments.
Role Purpose:
Support business performance through robust MIS, budgeting, forecasting, costing, variance analysis, and decision-support analytics. The role will partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance teams to drive financial discipline and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
MIS & Management Reporting:
- Prepare monthly MIS, performance dashboards, and management reports.

- Analyze actual performance against Budget, Forecast, and Previous Year.
- Develop insights on cost drivers, profitability, and operational performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to management.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Consolidate inputs from business and functional teams.
- Monitor budget utilization and highlight deviations.
- Support long-range planning and financial projections.
Costing & Cost Control:
- Maintain product costing and cost sheet accuracy.
- Conduct standard cost and variance analysis (RM, conversion, utilities, overheads, yield, etc.).
- Monitor manufacturing cost trends and identify optimization opportunities.
- Support cost audits and compliance requirements.
Business Performance Analysis:
- Analyze profitability, margins, working capital, and productivity metrics.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Support management with actionable recommendations for improving business performance.
Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with plant finance, operations, procurement, supply chain, and commercial teams.
- Drive data integrity and financial discipline across functions.
- Support leadership with presentations and business reviews.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, Macros preferred).
- SAP/ERP systems.
- SAP CO Module is a must.
- Power BI / Tableau.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
