Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant (Stores & Reconciliation)

About the Role:

Were looking for a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to own the full lifecycle of our companys fixed assets — from physical verification and reconciliation to depreciation and compliance reporting. This role suits someone who has worked in stores/inventory management or fixed asset accounting and is comfortable working across multiple sites to keep asset records accurate and audit-ready at all times.

What Youll Do

(1) Physical Verification & Reconciliation

• Conduct periodic on-site physical verification of fixed assets
• Reconcile physical counts against book records
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

(2) Accounting & Compliance

• Record acquisitions, disposals, and transfers in the accounting system
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date depreciation schedules
• Ensure fixed asset accounting complies with applicable standards

(3) Asset Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain a live, real-time status report of all assets — location, condition, and usage
• Prepare periodic fixed asset reports for management

(4) Documentation & Audit Support

• Maintain complete documentation (invoices, transfer notes, disposal records)
• Support internal and external audits with accurate records and reconciliations
• Enforce internal controls and policies around fixed asset management

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a storekeeper or in fixed asset accounting
• Solid grasp of accounting principles related to fixed assets
• Comfortable with accounting software and strong in MS Excel

Nice to Have:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience across multi-site operations
• Exposure to asset tracking software (ERP, Zoho)
