Job Description
The ideal candidate understands:
- Scroll-stopping short-form creative
- First 23 second hook optimization
- Native UGC-style ad formats
- Trending short-form pacing and transitions
- Creative testing frameworks (multiple hooks, angles, and variations)
This role requires someone who edits for conversion and performance, not just aesthetics. You will be responsible for producing high-volume, high-performing ad creatives that directly support revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Meta-First Creative Production:
- Edit and produce short-form video ads (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) specifically for Meta platforms.
- Create multiple hook variations for A/B testing.
- Structure videos using proven performance frameworks (Hook Problem Proof Offer CTA).
- Develop UGC-style edits that feel native to Facebook and Instagram feeds.
- Optimize pacing, subtitles, motion graphics, and transitions for maximum engagement.
Performance & Testing Mindset:
- Deliver multiple creative variations from a single shoot (different hooks, captions, pacing, music, CTAs).
- Execute rapid iteration cycles based on creative feedback.
- Understand the difference between polished brand video and high-performing ad creative.
- Apply learnings from performance data to future edits.
Technical & Creative Execution:
- Edit using professional tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
- Create dynamic captions, kinetic typography, and strong on-screen messaging.
Apply color correction and grading for clean, high-clarity mobile viewing. - Enhance videos with subtle motion effects, punch-ins, zooms, and engaging transitions.
- Maintain clean project organization and file management systems.
Collaboration & Workflow:
- Work directly with the Creative Strategist, AI Content Creators, and editing team.
- Execute detailed creative briefs with speed and precision.
- Manage high-volume output in a fast-paced environment.
- Revise and refine edits quickly based on feedback.
- Work late evening hours (India-based role) to ensure meaningful overlap with the U.S. team.
Innovation & Trends:
- Stay current on Meta ad trends and short-form creative styles.
- Analyze trending ad formats and adapt them for Shop LC products.
- Continuously improve editing workflows to increase speed, quality, and volume.

- 3+ years of experience editing short-form video content.
- Strong portfolio showcasing Meta / social-first ad creatives.
- Proven ability to create scroll-stopping hooks.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- Strong understanding of:
- Subtitles & text overlays
- Vertical video composition
- Platform-specific formatting
- Ability to produce high volumes of content without sacrificing quality.
- Excellent organizational skills and digital asset management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to execute with minimal oversight.
- Willingness to work late evening hours (India-based role).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience editing direct-response Meta ads.
- Understanding of performance metrics such as CTR, Hook Rate, Hold Rate, and ROAS.
- Experience with AI-powered tools (Runway, Veo, Sora, ElevenLabs, etc.).
- Experience in e-commerce or product-based marketing.
- Ability to reverse-engineer high-performing ads and recreate winning structures quickly.
