Production Manager

Role & responsibilities :

1.Production Planning & Control

• Prepare daily,weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts.
• Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with purchase & stores teams.
• Ensure optimum machine utilization and minimal downtime.

2. Operations Management

• Oversee mixing,compounding, filling, curing, and packing lines for silicone sealant production.
• Ensure proper process parameters are followed for consistent product quality.
• Manage workforce shifts, operators, and supervisors.

• Coordinate with the Quality Control & R&D teams to maintain product specifications.
• Implement SOPs and work instructions for each production process.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and safety standards.

4. Cost & Efficiency Improvement

• Drive cost reduction through waste control, yield improvement, and energy savings.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Safety & Maintenance

• Enforce strict safety practices and conduct regular training.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Maintain records for audits and statutory compliance.

• Supervise production staff, develop skills, and evaluate performance.
• Generate daily production reports, downtime analysis, and KPI dashboards.
• Report production performance to senior management

Preferred candidate profile :

• 7 - 12 years in manufacturing/production operations, with at least 3 - 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Prior experience in chemicals, adhesives, sealants, resins, or similar industries is highly preferable.
• Knowledge of handling mixing, compounding, filling, and packaging operations for viscous materials.
• Experience with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance in a chemical plant is preferable.
• Additional certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO systems is a plus.
