Client: A Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors, headquartered in Basel, with major facilities in Europe, North America and South Asia.

Job Responsibility:

Chemical Industry,

• Hazard Classification: Perform hazard classifications according to GHS, Dangerous Goods, and local chemical regulations to ensure safe market entry of products.
• SDS & Label Management: Author and manage regionally compliant SDS and label elements for its customers and employees.
• Hazard Assessment Documentation: Document hazard assessments in SAP EHS/S4HANA and communicate regulatory impacts on marketability and compliance.

Regulatory Monitoring:

• Analyze and update data and tools based on regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with evolving requirements.

Regulatory Strategy (Europe):

• Develop and implement chemical control regulation strategies and documentation to comply with European market requirements (including Switzerland and Great Britain).

System Utilization:

• Evaluate and implement activities required by stakeholders using SAP EHS/S4HANA, including Product Safety, Labelling, Logistics, and Trade Compliance.

Business Support:

• Respond to business and customer inquiries regarding product regulatory standing and provide training on compliance and marketability concerns.

Product Development Support:

• Assist in developing new products and securing agreements with third-party suppliers.

Process Documentation:

• Establish and document processes impacting product safety activities.

Subject Matter Expertise:

• Act as SME for product safety in cross-functional business projects.

Other Duties:

• Perform additional tasks as required to support product safety and compliance initiatives.

Education & Experience

  Get Hired
  Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Pharmaceutical Science.
• Masters degree or higher preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in regulatory, chemical, or biological industries.
• 5–10 years of experience with SAP EHS/S4HANA.

Certifications & Language

• Dangerous Goods regulation certification for transport and storage (IATA and regional authorities).
• Business fluency in English and German.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong knowledge of SAP, Excel, WWI programming, and regulatory authority-mandated software.
• Project planning and organizational skills.
• Hands-on approach with willingness to learn and adapt.
• Team-oriented mindset with expertise in Environmental, Biological, Chemical, Regulatory, IT, or analytical tools.
