Job Summary:

The Legal Officer is responsible for ensuring the companys compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. They provide legal support, review contracts, manage legal risks, and handle disputes to protect the organizations interests.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Legal Compliance & Advisory:

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Provide legal advice to management and other departments on business transactions, contracts, and regulatory matters.

2.Contract Management:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

Ensure all contracts align with legal and corporate policies.

3.Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:

Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the companys operations.

Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure legal compliance.

4.Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation on behalf of the company.

Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.

5.Risk Management:

Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Implement policies and procedures to ensure legal protection for the organization.

6.Corporate Governance:

Assist in drafting company policies, legal guidelines, and internal regulations.

Ensure compliance with corporate governance and ethics standards.

7.Intellectual Property & Legal Documentation:

Manage intellectual property rights, including trademarks and patents.

Maintain legal records and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Law (LLB/LLM).

Strong knowledge of corporate law, labor law, and contract law.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and handle confidential matters with discretion.

Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities and external legal counsel.
