As the Firewall Support Team Lead, you will guide and manage a team of firewall support engineers to maintain the security, integrity, and optimal performance of the organization's firewall systems. Responsibilities include overseeing configuration, administration, and maintenance of firewall systems, ensuring up-to-date security patches and firmware, monitoring performance and security logs, implementing security policies, conducting security audits and risk assessments, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues when necessary. You will also document support cases, assist in projects, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely project completion.
In addition to technical responsibilities, you will lead and mentor the firewall support team, assign tasks, provide guidance, conduct evaluations, and facilitate training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. You will also manage incident, problem, and change management processes, improve customer satisfaction metrics, monitor team metrics, suggest process improvements, and participate in training activities. Collaboration with the Quality Team, staying updated on new technologies, and working on firewall architectures and quality assurance policies are essential.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, along with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH. A minimum of 7+ years of experience in firewall management and network security, including leadership experience, is necessary. Proficiency in firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet), network protocols, security architectures, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are key for success in this role.
