Accountant (Education Trust)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records of the Trust.
• Experience in an educational institution, school, college, university, or charitable/educational trust will be preferred.
• Handle day-to-day accounting entries, vouchers, receipts, payments, and bank transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, ledgers, trial balances, and periodic financial statements.
• Monitor fee collections, expenses, payroll-related accounting, and other institutional transactions.
• Maintain proper records of Trust funds, grants, donations, and expenditures.
• Assist in preparation of budgets, financial reports, and management statements.
• Ensure timely compliance with TDS, GST, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents and schedules.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory records.
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with relevant departments.
• Ensure compliance with the financial policies and procedures of the Trust.
• Support management in financial analysis and other accounting-related requirements.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in an educational institution, school, college, university, or charitable/educational trust will be preferred.
• Working knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel.
• Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
