Zonal Head

Role & responsibilities -

1. Business Growth & Revenue Management

• Drive achievement of zonal business targets across products such as LAP, Micro LAP, Business Loans.
• Develop and execute zonal-level business strategies to ensure sustainable growth and market penetration
• Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective actions for underperforming regions

2. Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, manage, and mentor a multi-layered team comprising Area Managers, Branch Managers, Sales Executives and channel partners
• Drive team productivity, efficiency, and performance through structured reviews and training interventions.
• Ensure strong employee engagement, retention, and career development across the zone.
• Build a high-performance culture with clear accountability and ownership.

3. Credit, Operations & Process Excellence

• Collaborate closely with Credit and Operations teams to ensure smooth processing and disbursement within defined TAT
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, policies, and compliance frameworks
• Drive process improvements for efficiency, turnaround time, and customer experience
• Minimize disbursal discrepancies and improve operational accuracy

4. Portfolio & Collections Management

• Own the quality of the portfolio by controlling delinquencies and ensuring strong collections performance
• Monitor early warning signals and implement corrective strategies to mitigate risk
• Drive disciplined collections practices to ensure minimal NPAs and healthy portfolio quality

5. Profitability & P&L Ownership

• Own zonal P&L, ensuring optimal cost-to-income ratio
• Monitor profitability of branches and business units and implement cost-efficiency measures
• Drive branch-level profitability and ensure sustainable financial performance

6. Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, audit, and compliance standards
• Maintain high audit ratings through disciplined execution of policies and procedures
• Implement governance mechanisms to minimize operational and financial risks

7. Customer Experience & Market Development

• Ensure superior customer experience through efficient service delivery and quick resolution of issues
• Strengthen brand presence in the assigned geography
• Identify new market opportunities and expand business footprint

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience in managing large geographies and multi-product lending.
• Strong background in sales, collections, and branch/cluster/zonal management
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of credit, risk, and compliance frameworks
• 15+ years of experience in NBFC/BFSI sector with leadership roles at Area/Cluster/Zonal level
• Strong track record of promotions, performance awards, and target achievements
