Position Overview
To ensure high uptime and efficiency of injection moulding machines through effective preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, and continuous improvement, supporting uninterrupted production.
ROLE
- Preventive Maintenance
- Plan and execute PM schedules for injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment (chillers, dryers, loaders, mould temperature controllers)
- Develop and maintain PM checklists, SOPs, and maintenance standards
- Ensure adherence to PM plans to minimize unplanned downtime
- Implement predictive maintenance practices for critical equipment
- Breakdown Maintenance
- Attend to machine breakdowns promptly and restore operations with minimal downtime
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and improve MTTR and equipment reliability
- Ensure availability of critical spares and consumables
- Injection Moulding Equipment Management
- Maintain and troubleshoot injection moulding machines (hydraulic/electric)
- Handle issues related to clamping, injection, hydraulics, heaters, and controls
- Oversee maintenance of moulds, hot runners, and allied systems
- Monitor KPIs such as MTBF, uptime, and breakdown frequency
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive TPM, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives for reliability improvement
- Identify and implement cost reduction and energy-saving projects
- Support cycle time improvement and machine efficiency enhancement
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to plant safety standards and statutory requirements
- Follow and enforce LOTO procedures and safe maintenance practices
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of PM activities, breakdown reports, and spare usage
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance MIS reports
- Ensure proper documentation for audit compliance
- Team Coordination
- Supervise technicians and contract manpower
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tooling teams
- Liaise with OEMs and service vendors for maintenance support
- Train operators on basic machine care and maintenance practices
- Belt conveyor full maintenance
- Silo material feeding system hands on experience
- Ultrasonic welding process and machine maintenance
- CFF balancing machine calibration and setting full knowledge
- Injection molding machine machine full knowledge ( Hydraulic, Electrical, new mold trail setting)
- Ownership and accountability
