Job Description

Job Title:-Manager Finance & Accounts ( Satara Foundry Plant)-at Satara


Job Purpose


The role is responsible for overseeing, directing, and providing leadership for end-to-end accounting and financial activities on a day-to-day basis at the plant. The incumbent will manage overall accounting operations through optimum utilization of resources to achieve financial targets while ensuring strict adherence to cost controls and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities / Principal Accountabilities

Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Oversee and manage complete factory accounting and finance activities.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage plant-level accounting operations, including WIL – Deoli plant accounting activities.
  • Prepare and present Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual MIS reports to Management.

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST provisions, filings, reconciliations, and assessments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on statutory compliances under EPF, ESIC, GST, Income Tax Act, and other applicable laws.
  • Liaise and maintain professional relationships with Government authorities related to finance and taxation matters.

Costing & Commercial Finance

  • Lead costing activities and play a vital role in product price determination.
  • Develop and implement cost planning, cost control, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Provide taxation and commercial guidance to Sales, Purchase, and Stores departments.

Receivables, Payables & Working Capital

  • Formulate strategies and implement actions to improve receivables management and payables efficiency.
  • Monitor working capital and ensure optimal cash flow management.

Systems & Process Excellence

  • Ensure effective utilization of accounting systems including Tally ERP and Icast Software.
  • Drive system- and process-oriented working culture within the finance function.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Establish and sustain strong relationships with OEM customers.
  • Facilitate effective coordination between Operations and Sales teams.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end accounting processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of GST provisions and compliance.
  • Exposure to Tally ERP and Icast systems.
  • Sound understanding of related commercial and taxation laws.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen in Finance & Accounting.

Business & Analytical:

  • Strong business acumen with a strategic financial viewpoint.
  • Proven experience in GST functions and statutory compliances.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and provide solutions.
  • High attention to detail with accuracy and compliance focus.

Qualifications & Experience

  • M.Com. or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience,preferably in manufacturing / foundry / auto ancillary industries
