Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Design, build, and enhance automation frameworks using Robot Framework (Python),

Selenium, and Appium.

• Create and maintain Appium test scripts for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Conduct API testing using Postman or RestAssured and validate backend integrations.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality

and delivery efficiency.

• Contribute to test case design, code reviews, and continuoustest optimization.

Key Skills Required

Automation Tools:

• Web Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestCafe
• Mobile Automation: Appium, Espresso (Android), XCUITest (iOS), BrowserStack, Sauce Lab
• API Automation: RestAssured, Postman, Swagger

Programming Languages:

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript (advantageous)

Test Frameworks:

• Robot Framework, PyTest, TestNG, JUnit, BDD Cucumber

Version Control:

• Git, GitHub, GitLab

CI/CD Tools:

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD

Reporting & Analytics Tools:

• Extent Reports, TestRail, Zephyr

Additional Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in mobile automation testing (Android/iOS) including device cloud testing

using BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.

• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint-based development

cycles.

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure Boards, or Bugzilla.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Exposure to API mocking tools like WireMock, Mockoon, or Postman Mock Server.
• Experience with containerization toolslike Docker for scalable automation environments.
• Knowledge of test data management and DB validation using MySQL

AI & Advanced Tools

• MCP Server, GitHub Copilot, and AI-powered automation assistants for code generation and

test script optimization.
