About the Opportunity

Mumbai represents one of Weber Shandwick Indias biggest opportunities for consumer growth, and were looking for someone who wants to build, not simply manage.

This is a leadership role for a commercially minded communications professional who enjoys creating opportunities as much as delivering exceptional client work. Youll lead and grow our Consumer Practice in Mumbai, partnering with some of the countrys leading brands while expanding our presence across lifestyle, hospitality, travel & tourism and FMCG.

Youll be responsible for developing client relationships, growing the business, mentoring teams and shaping the future of the practice.

This role offers significant autonomy. Youll have the support of senior leadership, but were looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, is comfortable making decisions, and can maintain momentum in a fast-moving environment with the judgement to know when to seek support and when to lead from the front.

What Youll Be Responsible For

Lead the Consumer Practice

• Lead and grow Weber Shandwicks Consumer Practice in Mumbai.
• Provide senior strategic counsel across a portfolio of consumer brands.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Deliver integrated communications programs that solve business challenges.

Grow the Business

• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
• Lead new business conversations and pitches.
• Build a healthy pipeline across lifestyle, hospitality, travel & tourism and FMCG sectors.
• Contribute to the long-term growth of the Consumer Practice.

Build High-Performing Teams

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
• Create an environment of ownership, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Coach teams to deliver consistently high-quality work while building future leaders.

Drive Operational Excellence

• Own the commercial performance of the practice, including revenue, profitability and resource planning.
• Ensure excellence in client delivery and operational execution.
• Partner with specialists across the Weber Shandwick Collective to deliver integrated solutions.

Who Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who combines commercial instinct with strong communications expertise.

Youll likely bring:

• 10+ years of communications consultancy experience.
• Demonstrated success leading large consumer accounts and growing client relationships.
• Experience across one or more of Lifestyle, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism or FMCG.
• A strong understanding of business and how communications supports commercial outcomes.
• A track record of winning and growing business.
• Excellent client leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to lead with confidence, inspire teams and develop future talent.
