Senior Software Engineer - Python Developer

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Full time Graduate from reputed university
• 4+ years’ experience in development, support and automation testing
• Proficient with Core python and secure coding on UNIX/Linux platforms
• Expertise in Unix Security Engineering, with experience on UNIX Shell environment
• Advanced knowledge of proactive design methodologies, building tools in Python and/or Perl
• Familiarity with Object Relational Mapping and working with web services/RESTful APIs
• Experience in test automation framework with strong design and analytic skills and working knowledge of one or more automation tools like Selenium, or other testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest
• Team leading experience and flexible working on different latest technologies
• Practical skills in Git, CI/CD, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Jira
• Good command of TDD/Unit Testing, Clean Code
• Experience with working on Agile software development methodology with a familiarity on the DevOps practices
• Analytical thinker able to resolve ongoing issues or defects, with knowledge of bug/defect/issue tracking systems such as Jira Service desk, or Confluence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present ideas and thoughts appropriately, manage complex issues and negotiate solutions effectively across a geographically dispersed organization
• Detail-oriented and persistent, able to drive complicated tasks through to completion
