Location: Mumbai(Powai)

Reporting To: Key Account Manager / National Sales Manager

Job Purpose

The Assistant Key Account Manager will support the Key Account Manager in managing and growing modern trade, large format retail (LFR), and institutional key accounts. The role focuses on sales execution, coordination, relationship management, and ensuring smooth day-to-day account operations.

Key Responsibilities

Key Account Support

  • Assist in managing assigned key accounts (Modern Trade / LFR / Institutional clients).
  • Coordinate with buyers, category managers, and store teams to ensure product availability and visibility.
  • Support negotiations on pricing, schemes, promotions, and product listings.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Help achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for key accounts.
  • Track primary and secondary sales performance.
  • Assist in planning and executing promotions, in-store activities, and product launches.

Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, finance, marketing, customer service) for smooth order processing and execution.
  • Monitor orders, dispatches, billing, and collections for assigned accounts.
  • Ensure timely resolution of retailer or account-related issues.

Market & Data Analysis

  • Track sell-out data, stock levels, and competitor activity at key accounts.
  • Prepare sales reports, MIS, and account performance dashboards.
  • Share insights and recommendations to improve account performance.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key account stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular store visits to check merchandising, planogram adherence, and promoter performance (if applicable).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good understanding of Modern Trade / Key Accounts sales.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
  • Negotiation and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Education: Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Experience: 24 years of experience in Key Accounts / Modern Trade sales (preferably from Appliances or Consumer Durables).
  • Location: Mumbai-based candidates preferred.
  • Industry Exposure: Home appliances, consumer electronics, or FMCG (Modern Trade experience is a plus).
