Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Vigilance & Compliance Management
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines related to freight forwarding, customs, transportation, warehousing, DGFT, and EXIM norms.
- Conduct periodic and surprise audits of branches, business units, and key process areas (pricing, sales, operations, documentation, customs clearance, CFS/ICD coordination).
- Monitor adherence to company SOPs, anti-bribery & anti-corruption (ABAC) policies, code of conduct, vendor onboarding norms, and operational controls.
Investigations & Risk Reduction
- Lead and manage investigations related to fraud, misconduct, policy deviations, cargo discrepancies, billing irregularities, financial leakages, or external collusion.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports, evidence logs, and corrective action recommendations.
- Work closely with Legal, HR, Finance, and Internal Audit teams for case resolution.
Operational Integrity Oversight
- Identify vulnerabilities in freight forwarding operations (Air, Ocean, Customs Brokerage, Transport, Warehousing).
- Recommend and implement risk-mitigation measures to prevent revenue loss, pilferage, unauthorized expenses, or compliance breaches.
- Establish controls on vendor management, rate approvals, customer agreements, and credit management processes.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work with Branch Heads, Operations Managers, Sales Leaders, and Finance teams to ensure compliance and vigilance protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular awareness sessions, compliance training, and vigilance communication across regional teams.
- Liaise with government agencies when required (Customs, DRI, DGFT, Port/Terminal authorities) with guidance from corporate compliance.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit monthly vigilance dashboards, risk reports, audit summaries, and action-taken reports

- Track closure of audit observations and compliance gaps across all West-region branches.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and integrity of all vigilance-related documentation.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in vigilance, audits, risk management, internal control, or investigation roles.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to detect process gaps.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly and independently.
