Job Description
- The role involves providing regular reports to the Store Manager and Regional HR Manager on the store's performance in terms of hours and productivity. You will be responsible for advising on all Employee Relations (ER) matters and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. While not required to lead all meetings, you will ensure that managers are equipped to conduct them or be present as a note-taker.
Additionally, you will oversee the training and development of the team, particularly focusing on HR-related topics and the induction process for new employees. Supporting managers with training tools, following up on training materials, managing the mentors team, and implementing succession planning are key aspects of this role.
Managing vacancies, contracts, and overtime in alignment with company expectations and monitoring hours based on budgetary constraints will be part of your responsibilities. Your presence on the shop floor will help you build rapport with the team, understand their potential, and provide support when needed.
Analyzing reports to identify areas for improvement and developing action plans will be crucial. Collaborating closely with the Recruitment Centre, you will coordinate recruitment activities for the store, from advertising positions to managing the interview process and providing feedback.
You will also offer guidance on ER issues such as flexible working arrangements, investigations, disciplinary actions, and sickness absence. Promoting company benefits and development opportunities, conducting exit interviews, and suggesting areas for enhancement based on feedback are essential components of the role.

Implementing company training programs in-store, especially related to HR processes, ensuring effective internal communication, participating in managers" meetings, and collaborating with the Store Director to establish and execute store succession plans are integral aspects of the role.
Supporting the management team in motivating the staff and addressing any issues that may impact team morale or performance will be crucial. Additionally, you will assist managers in performance management activities to drive team effectiveness and productivity.,
