Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, sales-driven Head of Sales - AI & Data Services to accelerate our growth in the AI, Data, and Analytics services market. This is a critical, field-based leadership role focused on driving significant deal closures by working hand-in-hand with our sales and pre-sales teams, and leveraging our strategic technology partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales orientation, deep technical acumen in AI/Data, and proven experience closing complex, enterprise-level deals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Deal Closure & Sales Enablement (60%):
- Field-Based Deal Closure: Act as a senior, field-based closer, engaging directly with prospects and customers alongside the Sales team to expedite and finalize large, complex AI and Data Services contracts.
- Executive Engagement: Cultivate and manage relationships with C-level and senior executive stakeholders (CIOs, CDOs, VPs) at target accounts to articulate the value proposition of our AI and Data solutions.
- Pipeline Acceleration: Identify and qualify high-potential opportunities, providing strategic guidance and commercial insights to the sales team throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Commercial Acumen: Leverage a strong understanding of the AI services business landscape (e.g., ML Ops, Data Modernization, Generative AI) to structure profitable and scalable agreements.
- Partner Strategy & Execution: Be the primary liaison and commercial driver with key technology partners, specifically Microsoft Azure and Databricks account managers.
- Co-Selling: Drive joint business development activities and co-selling motions with partner teams to generate new pipeline and strategically position our services within partner accounts.
- Ecosystem Management: Ensure our sales, pre-sales, and technical teams are aligned with partner roadmaps and go-to-market strategies to maximize revenue from the partner ecosystem.
Cross-Functional Leadership (10%):
- Pre-Sales Synergy: Work closely with Pre-Sales and Solutions Architects to translate customer executive requirements into compelling technical and commercial proposals.
- Leadership: Utilize leadership skills to manage and harmonize efforts across Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless execution from opportunity identification to deal closure.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in B2B technology sales, business development, or a field-based closing role, with a strong focus on selling Data, Analytics, AI, and Cloud Professional Services.

- Partner Experience: Prior working experience and strong relationships within the ecosystem of major technology partners, specifically Microsoft Azure and/or Databricks.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with proven ability to connect and influence C-level executives.
- Sales Drive: A demonstrable "sales bend" and a track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets in a complex, consultative sales environment.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
