Job Description
- The position at Apollo is for a strong finance professional to join the Treasury transformation and strategic initiatives function within the Finance Organization. The role involves being responsible for financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, senior management reporting, and rating agency strategy and communications related to liquidity position, balance sheet, cash sources and uses, capital structure, and debt capacity. The Associate Director position aims to provide exposure to liquidity and capital management, tracking, and forecasting to support senior management decision-making. The ideal candidate should be an expert in systems implementation, advanced excel user who can automate processes, and code in Python to revamp treasury analytics across capital and liquidity management, rating agency models, and cash management. The role also includes building management reporting and dashboards, supporting strategic initiatives, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage outreach and receipt of data to support liquidity and capital forecasting requirements.
- Drive forecasts and reporting for monthly and quarterly submissions, annual budgeting, and ad-hoc requests based on liquidity and capital management.
- Collaborate with multiple areas across verticals to assist in collating information and structuring senior management presentations.
- Maintain projections for key rating agency metrics such as leverage and interest coverage.
- Collaborate with team members and Technology to drive towards forecast and analytics automation.
- Gain knowledge of capital and liquidity models and assist in strategic capital management.
- Develop and implement robust process controls to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Support other impromptu projects as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible and related professional experience required, with preference given to candidates with rating agency experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial statements, liquidity and capital management, financial planning, and financial/research analysis.
- Exposure to complex organizational structures.
- Highly analytical with excellent Excel user skills required.
- Experience in building and working with Power BI, Tableau dashboards.

- Experience in automating processes using advanced excel, SQL, Python, etc.
- Robust PowerPoint presentation skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Executes with independence, high energy, and a "can-do" attitude.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated track record of analytical & conceptual thinking, enjoys working in a team environment.
- Masters degree in finance, accounting, management, or economics or equivalent work experience is required. CA, CFA qualification will be a preference.,
