Job Description

What role will you play in the team? As a Canada Tax Senior specializing in Corporate Tax, you will lead and manage the preparation and review of Canadian corporate income tax returns. You will mentor junior staff, oversee tax planning for corporate clients, and ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws, contributing to the firm's corporate tax practice.

What you will do: You will manage client relationships, conduct tax research, and develop tax strategies to minimize corporate tax liabilities. You will also assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities, providing expert advice on corporate tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation and review of Canadian corporate income tax returns.
  • Oversee tax planning for corporate clients, including identifying tax-saving opportunities.
  • Mentor and train junior tax staff.
  • Conduct tax research on complex corporate tax issues.
  • Develop tax strategies to minimize corporate tax liabilities.
  • Assist with tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in Canadian corporate tax laws and regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the corporate tax practice by providing leadership and expertise.

Required Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Canadian corporate tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian corporate income tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with managing corporate tax compliance and planning.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tax software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
