Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated RF System Design Engineer to join our engineering team in

Bengaluru. This role involves the design, simulation, analysis, integration, and testing of RF systems

and subsystems for aerospace applications, including satellite design and manufacturing. The ideal

candidate will have a strong grasp of fundamental RF/microwave principles, hands-on experience

with industry-standard simulation tools, and programming familiarity.

Key Responsibilities:

?Design, model, and simulate RF systems and critical components, including antennas,

amplifiers (LNAs, PAs), filters, mixers, PLLs, and matching networks.

?Develop comprehensive RF system architectures, perform detailed link budget calculations,

cascade analysis (Noise Figure, IP3, Gain), and interference/coexistence studies.

?Utilize electromagnetic (EM) and circuit simulation software extensively, such as Ansys

HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, COMSOL Multiphysics (RF Module), Keysight ADS, or

equivalent tools for design validation and optimization.

?Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware design,

firmware/software development, mechanical engineering, and product management

throughout the product lifecycle.

?Define, develop, and execute rigorous test plans for RF components, subsystems, and system-

level performance verification using standard RF test equipment (e.g., Vector Network

Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes).

?Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify root causes and resolve RF hardware and system

integration issues.

?Generate clear and concise documentation, including design specifications, simulation

reports, test procedures, and results summaries.

?Provide guidance on RF PCB layout considerations, including component placement, trace

routing, grounding, and shielding.

?Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in RF technologies, components, and

design methodologies.

?Leverage programming skills in Python or C/C++ for automating simulations, processing test

data, developing test scripts, or creating analysis tools.

Required Qualifications:

?Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering (or a closely related field) with a

specialization or significant coursework in RF/Microwave Engineering.

?Demonstrable experience in RF system design, analysis, and testing.

?Solid theoretical understanding of electromagnetic theory, microwave circuits, transmission

lines, S-parameters, and antenna theory.

?Strong knowledge of RF component characteristics and design considerations, particularly for

LNAs and PAs.

?Proven hands-on experience with industry-standard RF simulation tools like COMSOL RF

Toolbox, HFSS, CST, or ADS.

?Proficiency in operating standard RF test and measurement equipment.

?Familiarity with at least one programming/scripting language: Python or C/C++.

?Excellent analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving abilities.

?Strong verbal and written communication skills.

?Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications (Considered an Advantage):

?Masters degree focused on RF/Microwave Engineering.

?Understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts relevant to RF systems (e.g.,

digital filtering, modulation/demodulation, digital pre-distortion (DPD), software-defined

radio (SDR) principles).

?Experience with system-level simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink with RF toolboxes).

?Experience taking designs through manufacturing and validation (DFM, DFT).
