Assistant Manager - Legal & Compliance

Job Brief:

Bijak is looking for an experienced candidate who would be responsible for managing FEMA and RBI compliance, including filing FC-GPR and FC-TRS, and handling ROC compliance such as board meetings and annual returns. Skilled in liaising with regulatory authorities, ensuring up-to-date compliance in the F&V sector, and providing legal advice. Proficient in maintaining statutory books and preparing necessary documentation for corporate governance.

• FEMA & RBI compliance Filing of FC-GPR & FC-TRS, Import & Export compliances.
• ROC compliances Conducting Board Meetings, Private Placement, Preferential Allotment, preparation of Minutes, ROC filings, etc.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining a robust CMS (Compliance Management System) to track and manage compliance requirements.
• Building and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure smooth compliance processes.
• Understanding of compliance requirements specifically applicable to the Fruits and Vegetables (F&V) sector.
• 
  Convening and servicing GMs, EGMs, Board Meetings, take minutes, draft resolutions, and lodge required forms and annual returns with appropriate departments.
• Providing guidance on regulatory and compliance-related matters to ensure organizational adherence.
• Ensure policies, regulatory, or statutory changes that might affect the organization are up to date and approved by the committee.
• Maintaining statutory records, including registers of members, directors, and secretaries, to ensure legal compliance.

Desired skills

• Experience in Funding -Seed/Series A/ Series B
• Strong understanding of FEMA, ROC & RBI Compliances
• Understanding of Compliances in Fruits & Vegetables preferred.
