About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Director – BFSI to lead client relationships, drive integrated communication strategies, and oversee high-impact public relations mandates for clients in the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry understanding, strong media networks, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to counsel senior leadership teams on reputation-building and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of BFSI clients, serving as the primary strategic advisor and relationship owner.
  
• Develop and execute high-impact communication strategies, including corporate communications, leadership profiling, crisis management, media engagement, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with business journalists, editors, influencers, and industry stakeholders across financial and mainstream media.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on brand reputation, market positioning, policy communication, and corporate narratives.
• Identify proactive storytelling opportunities aligned with business objectives and market trends.
• Drive integrated campaigns across earned media, digital PR, executive profiling, and industry events.
• Lead account profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial negotiations.
• Mentor and manage internal teams, ensuring delivery excellence, creativity, and strategic thinking.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with digital, creative, research, and content teams to deliver holistic communication solutions.
• Stay abreast of financial market trends, regulatory developments, fintech innovations, and industry shifts to provide informed counsel to clients.

Key Requirements

• 10–12 years of relevant experience in PR / Strategic Communications, with significant exposure to BFSI brands.
• Strong understanding of banking, insurance, NBFCs, fintech, capital markets, and financial regulations.
• Proven track record in managing senior client stakeholders and leading strategic communication mandates.

  Get Hired
  Established media relationships, particularly within business, finance, and policy media.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue management and account growth.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple high-value accounts.
• Bachelors / Masters degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Finance, or related field.
