Assistant Professor Of Law

Role Description The Assistant Professor of Law will be responsible for delivering engaging law lectures, seminars, and tutorials. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting classroom sessions, evaluating student performance through assignments and examinations, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role involves contributing to curriculum development in core legal areas, collaborating with other educators and content teams, and participating in academic activities that enhance learner outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jalandhar, requiring regular presence on campus and active participation in institutional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Law, with the ability to teach core legal principles across multiple areas.
• Specialized expertise in Constitutional Law to explain constitutional frameworks, rights, and governance structures.
• Competence in Criminal Law, including substantive and procedural aspects, for effective classroom instruction.
• Demonstrated Research skills, including legal research methodologies, citation practices, and scholarly writing.
• Proven Teaching skills, with experience planning lessons, facilitating discussions, and assessing learner progress.
• Relevant advanced degree in Law (LL.M or equivalent; Ph.D. or enrollment in a doctoral program is an advantage).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly.
• Comfort with educational technology and digital content environments; prior e-learning or online teaching experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and maintain a learner-centered, inclusive classroom environment
