QA/QC Executive

You will need to focus on both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) aspects. In terms of QA, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring QA processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee product safety and efficacy. It will be essential to ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory standards specific to the cosmetic industry. Additionally, you will conduct internal audits, support external audits conducted by regulatory authorities, monitor supplier quality of raw materials and packaging components, investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and provide training on good manufacturing practices (GMP) and hygiene protocols to production and packaging teams.

Regarding QC, you will be required to perform in-process quality checks during manufacturing, filling, and packaging stages. This will involve conducting physical, chemical, and microbiological testing on raw materials, bulk formulations, and finished products. You must also oversee the maintenance and calibration of QC laboratory equipment, maintain batch records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and stability testing reports, as well as implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to enhance processes. Ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and documentation in alignment with regulatory guidelines is another critical aspect of the role.

To be successful in this position, you should hold a B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Cosmetic Science, or a related field, coupled with 2-5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical industry. Proficiency in GMP, ISO 22716, FDA regulations, BIS standards (for India), and global cosmetic compliance is essential. Hands-on experience with various QC testing instruments such as HPLC, GC, pH meters, and viscometers is required. Your ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), along with strong documentation and report-writing skills, will be crucial. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with stability testing, preservative efficacy testing (PET), and cosmetic formulations will be advantageous.

Preferred skills include knowledge of regulatory frameworks like the EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC 1223/2009), US FDA, and ASEAN Cosmetic Directive. The position is full-time and offers benefits such as cell phone reimbursement, a day shift schedule, and performance bonuses.
