Acoustic Consultant Kochi, India

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Acoustic Consultant to join our team in Kochi, India. The successful candidate will provide acoustic design, noise and vibration assessments, and technical consultancy services across a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with architects, engineers, planners, developers, and contractors to deliver innovative acoustic solutions that meet regulatory requirements and enhance occupant comfort and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental noise, building acoustics, and architectural acoustic assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, acoustic models, calculations, and recommendations.
• Perform site surveys, measurements, and acoustic testing.
• Develop noise mitigation and sound insulation strategies for new and existing developments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify acoustic risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project specifications.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of design experience in an acoustic consultancy.
• Strong understanding of building acoustics, environmental noise, and architectural acoustic principles.
• Beginner experience using acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA, Odeon, or equivalent is beneficial.
• Excellent technical report-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience of working on Middle East projects.
