Role: Sr Account Director-BD & CS (Full Time)

Location:Work from office in Mumbai (Andheri E). 5 days a week.

About the role:

As a Business Development & Client Service person, you are the face of Gobananas when dealing with a client. You shall be the point of coordination between all involved in the event-client, and internal teams at Gobananas including Production, Content, Design, Finance and external agency partners. Right from the initial client connect, and closure of a brief to the end of an event, you shall be expected to ensure top-quality project management & the delivery of a seamless & enriching experience for the client.

The role requires you to service existing accounts & as well as to build a network with new brands to generate business.

As a BD ninja, you will be required to source new clients & will be holding sales targets to achieve. You should have the ability to research avenues for building business through these new clients, prospecting including cold calls, presenting & engaging the client about our offerings & solutions, and understand & decode the client brief to work out a creative solution through the internal teams & maintaining an ongoing relationship with the client.

As a custodian for building client delight, you will need to have proven project management and planning skills, extreme attention to detail, an experiential understanding of technology, and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in written form while servicing existing clients.

You will need to be solution-oriented, an effective negotiator and an excellent communicator in working with clients, agency partners and supply chain vendors, as well as with a small-knit internal team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for crafting creative experiences for brands and committed to providing superior customer service with a high level of ownership.

You will be required to demonstrate leadership skills by building teams, driving key process metrics, creating a superlative work culture, bringing strong customer focus, and leading the company to exponential growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Client servicing & Business Development:
  • Identifying and networking to generate business from the existing accounts, achieving profitability. Proactively following up with existing clients to get briefs for events that would have happened in the previous years.
  • Mapping needs of new brands/clients & generating business from them
  • Meeting the client to understand the brief and expectations of the event.
  • Collaborate with the internal team-concept, on design, production & tech for crafting the experience.
  • Present the creative solution to the client and negotiate on the terms.
  • 2. Event execution & Operations:

    • Coordinate with all stakeholders involved in the event to ensure the delivery of creatives, art work, set design and all other elements of the event.
    • Lead the running of the show/show flow.
    • Oversee the overall production quality of the event.
    • Ensure closure of payment advice (PA) in coordination with production & Invoicing through finance.
    • Ensure all Weekly Reports and HOD Meeting Reports are sent to the Head of the Department
    • Collection of payment from clients for events executed

    3. Required Qualification, Experience & skills:

    • Graduation in any stream (a must) & Post graduation in Marketing/Mass media/Advertising/Event Mgt (preferred)
    • 8+ years of Client Service experience in the Events or BTL industry
    • Strong relationships & connections with marketing professionals/ brand managers/ decision makers among the corporate & agencies.
    • Understanding of brands & their needs to connect with consumers/target audience
    • Fair knowledge of event setups
    • Has exceptional attention to detail and the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel despite tight deadlines
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint is a must
    • Experience in crafting narratives and engaging clients and agencies in long-range strategic partnerships
    • Highly customer-oriented with a proven ability to build internal and external relationships
