Job Description

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager for Gemini Data, you are responsible for the strategic sourcing of critical third-party data partnerships to power DeepMind's foundational AI models. You will translate complex research needs into actionable data acquisition strategies, ensuring a robust pipeline of data assets aligned with Gemini's core capability priorities.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners across APAC, with a focus on coding and agentic domains. Build and manage a robust APAC pipeline aligned with DeepMind (DM) strategic priorities.
  • Lead end-to-end negotiation of multiple partnership agreements, navigating intricate commercial terms, usage rights, data specifications, and legal/ethical compliance considerations. Drive deals through internal review processes with precision and speed.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless mange execution.
  • Adhere to and actively contribute to refining the team's operational processes, ensuring accurate pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce), and continuous improvement.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or operations strategy in the technology sector.
  • Experience executing and managing partnerships and negotiating agreements with partners across the APAC region.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
