About The Role

Words have the power to make people pause, feel something, and hit share. At HUFT, were looking for a Copywriting Intern who can bring the world of dogs, cats and pet parents to life through sharp, engaging and memorable copy.

Youll be part of the team shaping how HUFT sounds and speaks — from social media and campaigns to product stories and everyday pet moments. If you enjoy playing with words, spotting a good story and turning a simple thought into a great line, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities | What You Will Do

• Write captions, hooks, headlines, scripts and social media copy for dogs, cats and their humans.
• Develop fun, relatable and culturally relevant content ideas for Instagram and other platforms.
• Help create copy for campaigns, product launches, brand communication and digital content.
• Spot interesting stories in everyday pet-parent moments and turn them into compelling content.
• Stay on top of memes, trends, pop culture and internet conversations, finding smart ways to bring them into HUFTs world.
• Work closely with designers, social media and marketing teams to bring creative ideas to life.
• Adapt writing across different formats while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
• Research pet behaviour, pet-parent conversations and trends to develop fresh content ideas.
• Proofread and refine copy to ensure it is clear, engaging and grammatically sound.
• Experiment with AI tools for ideation, research and content development while keeping the writing original and human.

• A genuine interest in writing, with curiosity about words, stories and people.
• Strong command of English and a good understanding of grammar.
• Understanding of social media, memes, trends and internet culture.
• Ability to write in a conversational, witty and relatable tone.
• A genuine love for dogs, cats and the wonderfully chaotic world of pet parenting.
• Ability to turn simple observations into interesting ideas and engaging copy.
