Who are we looking for?


We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Event Sponsorship Specialist to join our events sales team. In this role you will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process of IDC events across the MEA region. You should be able to close sales and meet targets by building strong relationships with clients.


To be successful in this role you should have a strong desire to hunt for new business and be able to build rapport with potential clients in order to turn prospects into customers.


This is a hybrid role, requiring time on site at our Dubai office.


Responsibilities:


  • Researching and qualifying key Executive contacts (such as Marketing Managers) from a target list of organizations provided as well as proactively researching potential new organizations.
  • Communicating with potential customers, making outbound calls, and following up.
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information via email.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of potential customers.
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of events portfolio and services.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Accurately reporting the sales pipeline in the CRM and local market intel/inputs to grow the business based on trends and requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must, Arabic is a nice-to-have.
  • High school diploma/graduate and 2+ years of experience in Event Sponsorship sales.
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Previous experience in an outbound role or a related sales position preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.com.

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
