Kanerika - Business Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Business Analyst with 3-5 years of experience who can structure business problems, define functional requirements, and drive data-driven decision-making using AI and analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in functional specifications, data analysis, experimentation (A/B testing), and process mapping/mining, along with the ability to collaborate across business, technical, sales, and delivery teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Functional Analysis:
- Elicit, analyze, and structure business problems and requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, and research.
Functional Specifications:
- Draft BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories with acceptance criteria, and system behavior documentation.
Data Analysis & KPI Definition:
- Define KPIs, analyze data trends, and generate insights to support business decisions. Work with SQL/data teams for validation and mapping.
AI-Enabled Analysis:
- Leverage AI tools (Copilot, LLMs, automation) to enhance analysis, documentation, and decision-making (expected, not optional).
Experimentation & A/B Testing:
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate business hypotheses and optimize outcomes.

Power BI & Reporting Support:
- Assist in building/reviewing dashboards, validating data outputs, and enabling stakeholders to derive insights from BI reports.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business, technical, sales, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
Process Mapping & Process Mining:
- Create process maps, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements using data-backed insights and process mining techniques.
Project Delivery & UAT:
- Support end-to-end delivery including requirement clarification, testing, UAT coordination, and rollout.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to full SDLC
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Strong understanding of functional specifications, process mapping, and business workflows
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL and data analysis
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
- Exposure to AI/GenAI tools (prompting, copilots, automation)
- Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation concepts
- Experience in process mapping and process mining
- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
- Domain knowledge in Healthcare, Insurance, FinTech, Retail, or Manufacturing
- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles
- Familiarity with data pipelines, KPIs, and data validation
- Experience with modern data platforms
- Certifications like CBAP, CCBA
