Job Description

(A)JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic sales leader to take full ownership of Leptons Automotive Business Vertical. This is a unique opportunity to command a significant, high-growth business segment built on a robust foundation of over ₹70 crores in existing annual revenue. You will be responsible for deepening partnerships with current Automotive OEM clients, strategically scaling the business, and forging new alliances across the industry. As the central force driving adoption of Google Maps Platform and Leptons location intelligence solutions, you will solidify our position as the indispensable technology partner to Indias Automotive OEMs.

(B) JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY

P&L Ownership & Vertical Strategy

• Take full ownership of the automotive verticals P&L, with accountability for revenue forecasting, strategic planning, and achievement of ambitious growth targets

• Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that addresses the entire spectrum of Automotive OEMs, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, 2/3-wheelers, and the emerging EV ecosystem

• Serve as the in-house subject matter expert for automotive solutions, continuously analyzing market dynamics to position Leptons offerings at the forefront of industry trends such as connected mobility and in-vehicle digital experiences

• Drive strategic market analysis and competitive positioning to ensure Lepton remains a market leader in automotive technology solutions

Strategic Account Leadership: Growth, Nurturing & Acquisition

• Cultivate deep, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers (CTOs, CIOs, Heads of Product & Digital, R&D Leaders) within target OEMs and Tier-1 automotive suppliers

• Scale existing business by leveraging relationships with our flagship OEM clients, acting as their trusted strategic partner to drive wider solution adoption and expand revenue streams across their organizations

• Identify, prospect, and lead the acquisition of new Automotive OEM accounts, personally managing the

complex enterprise sales cycle from initial engagement and technical validation through commercial

negotiation and successful onboarding

• Maintain and strengthen the strategic account portfolio through regular business reviews, stakeholder engagement, and value-add initiatives

Technical & Commercial Solutioning

• Engage with executive and leadership teams, articulating a compelling vision for how Leptons API-first solutions solve their most pressing business challenges

• Collaborate closely with pre-sales and delivery teams to architect high-value, bespoke solutions that are deeply embedded into clients technology roadmaps and vehicle platforms

• Lead technical discussions with customer engineering and product teams, demonstrating expertise in geospatial, mapping, and location intelligence applications in automotive contexts

• Translate customer business requirements into comprehensive solutions that deliver measurable ROI and competitive advantage

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partnership Management

• Act as the vital bridge between OEM customers, internal technical and delivery teams, and key

stakeholders at Google

• Ensure seamless communication, alignment, and coordination across all parties to deliver exceptional customer value and drive successful project outcomes

• Partner with product, engineering, and delivery leadership to influence roadmap priorities based on customer needs and market opportunities

• Facilitate executive-level discussions and escalations to resolve complex commercial and technical challenges

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Build and mentor a high-performing sales and account management team focused on automotive business excellence

• Drive sales methodologies, best practices, and knowledge sharing across the automotive vertical

• Foster a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement within the team

(C) QUALIFICATION & SKILLSET

Must-Have Skills

• 12–18 years of proven experience in enterprise technology sales, with a strong track record of exceeding multi-crore sales quotas

• Deep understanding of and active C-level network within the Indian Automotive OEM ecosystem

(mandatory)

• Demonstrated success in both nurturing and scaling multi-crore strategic accounts while simultaneously hunting and closing new OEM business

• Mastery of selling complex, API-first technology solutions (SaaS, PaaS, Cloud Platforms, SDKs, embedded software) to sophisticated technical and business buyers

• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from discovery through deal closure and implementation

• Exceptional executive presence with strong communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and strategic mindset combined with hands-on, accountable approach

• Strong understanding of automotive industry trends, vehicle platforms, and connected mobility

technologies

• Experience across diverse vehicle types (passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, 2/3-wheelers, EVs)

• Familiarity with Location Intelligence, GIS, mapping, or navigation technology solutions

• Prior experience partnering with or selling Google Maps Platform or similar geospatial technology

• Exposure to vehicle electrification, autonomous vehicle development, or in-vehicle digital experiences

• Background in technology partnerships or platform ecosystems

• Experience scaling business verticals or managing P&L responsibility

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

• MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification is a strong plus

• Strategic mindset with ability to think long-term while delivering short-term results

• Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities

• Strong analytical and business acumen with data-driven decision-making approach
