Position Summary
MIT ADT University is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer (Civil) to work directly under the Senior Engineer (Civil) on large-scale construction projects, including Hostel Campuses, Hospitals, and Academic Buildings at our Pune and/or Solapur sites. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and quality-controlled execution of day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Engineer (Civil) will assist the Senior Engineer in the following key areas:
A. Site Execution and Supervision

• Daily Supervision: Assist the Senior Engineer in the daily supervision of construction activities performed by contractors and labourers.
• 
  Work Layout: Ensure accurate and timely setting out and marking of foundation lines, structural elements, and finishes based on approved drawings.
• Monitoring Progress: Track and report the daily progress of work against the planned schedule. Identify potential delays and report them to the Senior Engineer.
• Coordination: Coordinate with different teams on-site (structural, electrical, plumbing) to ensure smooth workflow and minimize conflicts.

B. Quality Control and Measurement

• Material Inspection: Conduct incoming material inspections to verify that materials meet specified quality standards and quantities before use.
• Workmanship Checks: Perform routine quality checks on active construction works (e.g., concrete pouring, shuttering installation, brickwork) and ensure strict adherence to IS codes and specifications.
• Measurement and Billing: Assist in the taking of measurements (T&M) for work completed and prepare detailed measurement sheets for contractor billing verification.
• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of concrete cube testing, steel consumption, material stock, and daily activity logs.

C. Technical and Administrative Support

  Drawing Interpretation: Study and interpret construction drawings and specifications to clarify execution details for foremen and supervisors on site.
• Safety Enforcement: Support the Senior Engineer in implementing and enforcing site safety rules and regulations. Report any unsafe practices immediately.
• Inventory Management: Monitor the consumption and inventory of key construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates).
• Documentation: Organize and file all site-related documents, drawings, test reports, and correspondence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education:B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Experience:4 to 5 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in building projects.
• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and take instruction from the Senior Engineer.
