Data Engineer Specialist

Position Overview
As the Data Engineer specialist in the Data Team, you will be responsible for managing the data analytics platform of our company GCC. You will ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, and made accessible in an efficient manner, and then used for data visualizations to provide actionable insights to the business.
You will also develop further the automation of the data processing activities and support the implementation of AI use cases.
The position will be preferably based in UAE.
Key Areas & Tasks

• Data Architecture maintain and evolve the overall architecture of the data infrastructure to support organization-wide data needs. This includes data ingestion, data storage, data processing, and data delivery.
• Data Integration Integrate data from different sources and formats, ensuring data consistency, quality, and integrity.
• Data Modeling Design and implement data models that enable efficient querying and analysis of data for reporting, analytics, and machine learning purposes.
• Data Transformation Develop and optimize data transformation and extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to convert raw data into a consistent and usable format.
• Data Visualization Develop and roll out innovative and insightful dashboards in the Data Analytics platform.
• Data Quality and Governance Implement data quality standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Establish data governance practices to develop the usage of data across the organization.
• Collaboration Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide efficient solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and projects, at local and regional level.
  

Education & experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Data Analytics
• 5 to 7 years of experience in the field of Data Analytics & Data Management
• Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense, including Qlik modeler. Alternatively, experience with other data visualization/BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
  
• Hands-on experience with Data Iku or other Data Analytics tool and programming
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
• Expertise on data integration tools and ETL processes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their associated data services
• Experience in Pharma industry preferred
