Plum - Senior Product Manager

About the Role:
As a Senior Product Manager of Healthcare at Plum, you will own the product vision, strategy, and execution of our healthcare business. Your role will be crucial in transforming how users interact with healthcare products, making them more accessible, intuitive, and effective. You'll drive product innovation while maintaining the deep sense of empathy and care that's central to our healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Own and drive the strategic product roadmap for Plum's healthcare offerings, aligning product investments with business goals and user needs.
- Develop and implement key product processes that balance innovation with reliability in healthcare delivery.
2. Product Development & Innovation:
- Partner with customers, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to understand explicit and latent needs in the healthcare space.
- Collaborate closely with High-Performing Engineering teams to build scalable healthcare products that meet stringent quality and compliance requirements.
- Drive product discovery through user research, usability studies, and data-driven experiments.
- Author and review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for healthcare features.
- Make critical decisions across multiple domains from healthcare regulations to user experience that help your team move forward efficiently.
3. Process Excellence:
- Establish robust frameworks for measuring product success and impact on healthcare outcomes.
- Develop and implement processes for effective performance management and reporting.
- Identify highest-value opportunities to increase productivity while maintaining healthcare quality standards.
- Balance the trade-offs between perfect healthcare solutions and fast iteration.
Requirements:

1. Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare technology.
- Proven track record of owning and advancing complex product domains end-to-end, from strategy through execution.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, regulations, and user needs.
- Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.
- Deep analytical skills for testing product hypotheses and generating actionable insights.
- Experience in building and scaling healthcare products with demonstrated commercial success.
- Experience building products that positively impact patient & population level health outcome.
2. Technical & Domain Knowledge:
- Strong grasp of healthcare technology trends and digital healthcare solutions.
- Experience in operationalizing healthcare data security compliance requirements HiPAA, GDPR & DPDP.
- Experience with healthcare data analytics and outcomes measurement.
- Hands-on understanding of healthcare interoperability standards HL7 v2 and FHIR R4 including designing FHIR resources, profiles, and APIs to exchange clinical data across EHR/EMR systems, labs, pharmacies, and payers.
- Familiarity with Indias ABDM & Health Stack (ABHA, consent manager, HIE-CM).
- Ability to design clinical decision support systems (CDSS) that encode evidence-based medicine and guidelines into product workflows.
- Experience translating clinical protocols and care pathways (triage, referral, chronic-disease management) into auditable, protocol-driven logic that clinicians can trust.
- Ability to build outcome measurement frameworks using data from lab reports, PROs and clinician assessments.
- Hands-on comfort using AI tools to accelerate product discovery, spec writing, and data analysis.
3. Leadership & Communication:
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience in leading through influence across multiple teams.
- Strong project and program management capabilities.
- Track record of making difficult trade-off decisions in complex healthcare scenarios.
