JOB DESCRIPTION UI/UX Designer – Cloud & Lighting Applications

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient UX/UI Designer based in India to

design exceptional user experiences for our cloud-based web and mobile applications while

also assisting in marketing collateral design for SGi’s lighting product lines.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign,

Photoshop, Illustrator), and a solid understanding of lighting, architecture, and interior design

principles.

This role bridges digital product design and visual communication, collaborating closely with our

teams in India and Canada to create beautiful, functional, and intuitive interfaces and

visually striking marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Digital Design – UX/UI:
• Design and prototype responsive interfaces for SGi’s platforms:
• SGi Connected CloudTM (B2B cloud-based platform)
• mySGiTM (dealer and project management web application)
• SGi Mobile Applications (field and client engagement tools)
• Create detailed wireframes, user flows, and design systems in Figma.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and lighting engineers to translate

requirements into visually compelling user experiences.

• Conduct UX research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to refine UI components

and interaction patterns

• Maintain design consistency across all platforms with established SGi brand guidelines and

component libraries.

• Creative & Marketing Design:

• Collaborate with SGi Canada’s marketing and design team to produce:

• Product catalogues
• Look books
• Cut sheets and spec sheets
• Digital and print marketing collateral
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) to create clean, modern, and

visually appealing materials aligned with SGi’s global brand identity.

• Support visual storytelling for new product launches and trade show materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

• 4–7 years of professional experience in UI/UX design and creative design.

• Expert-level proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, components, prototyping, and design

systems).

• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

• Demonstrated experience designing cloud-based web platforms and mobile apps

(iOS/Android).

• Strong understanding of lighting products, lighting design concepts, and visual

presentation of lighting environments.

• Background and experience in lighting, architectural lighting design, or interior design is

mandatory.

• Experience working with international teams or across Canada/India time zones

preferred.
