Job Description
- We are looking for a strategic, hands-on, and visionary Tech Head - Data Products to take charge of leading the design, development, and delivery of data-driven products and platforms. In this role, you will be operating at the intersection of data engineering, product management, and business strategy, shaping our data product vision, overseeing technical execution, and steering business impact.
Your responsibilities will include defining and steering the roadmap for data products in alignment with business objectives and user requirements. You will also be tasked with supervising the design and development of scalable data platforms and APIs. Collaboration across various departments such as engineering, product, analytics, marketing, and customer success will be essential to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation. Additionally, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards is crucial. Staying abreast of the latest data technologies, recommending tools and methodologies, and establishing KPIs to measure the success and adoption of data products are also key aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. With a minimum of 8 years of experience in data/tech roles, particularly within the geo-spatial industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership or product-focused position, you should possess proven expertise in building data platforms, pipelines, and APIs at scale. A solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), modern data/tech stacks (both backend & frontend), as well as proficiency in geospatial technologies (GIS, remote sensing, spatial databases) is required. Familiarity with geospatial platforms like Google Earth Engine, Esri, Mapbox, along with skills in data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance are essential. Experience in AI/ML-driven product integration would be advantageous. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills are also expected.
