Job Description

:

We are looking for a seasoned and performance-driven State Sales Head - West Maharashtra with strong expertise in Hardcore General Trade (GT) Sales within the FMCG (Food) industry.
This is a strategic leadership role requiring deep market understanding, strong distributor network management, and proven success in driving primary and secondary sales across urban and rural markets in West Maharashtra.
Key Responsibilities:

- Drive overall sales growth and business expansion across West Maharashtra
- Lead and manage General Trade (GT) sales operations across assigned territories
- Handle distributor management, dealer engagement, and channel partner relationships
- Drive primary and secondary sales while ensuring achievement of business targets


- Develop and execute sales strategies for urban and rural market expansion
- Manage, mentor, and drive large on-ground sales teams to achieve high performance
- Ensure market penetration, visibility, and product availability across channels
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to drive business decisions
- Lead product launches and execute GT activation strategies in the market
- Strengthen distribution networks and improve channel efficiency
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including marketing, supply chain, and finance teams
- Drive sales forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking across the region

- Strong hands-on exposure to General Trade (GT) Sales
- Experience strictly from the FMCG - Food Industry
- Proven track record of handling West Maharashtra markets
- Expertise in Distributor Management and Secondary Sales Control
- Experience managing large sales teams and driving field execution
- Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of urban and rural market dynamics
- Product launch experience in GT markets
- Expertise in market expansion and channel development
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive execution in high-growth and competitive environments
