Urgent Requirement For Corporate Legal Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Deal with legal issues received from various branches / departments of the Bank, advising on branch banking issues and customer complaints.
• Advise on issues relating to title investigation reports prepared by empanelled advocates.
• Coordinate and interact with the external Lawyers for investigation of title of the property and discuss the issues of the title and remedies and obtain absolute clear and marketable Title Certificate.
• Advise and guide in connection with the stamping, registration of documents and other legal matters in line with in with modifications / amendments as notified by Govt. Authorities.
  
• Conduct legal audit in high value loans.
• Draft and vet agreements/supplementary agreements like non-disclosure agreement, service level agreement, purchase order, loan agreements, credit documentation.
• Finalisation of plaints, written statements/replies to be filed before courts, DRT, Consumer Forum, Banking Ombudsman etc.
• Preparation of draft pleadings and comprehensive instructions/briefs to counsel in connection with litigation involving the Bank.
• Draft notices pertaining to Collections, vet submissions on behalf of the Bank in cases filed against the Bank, opinion in respect of recovery measures to be taken / way forward in cases filed against the Banks, actions to be taken under arbitration, proceedings to be taken under SARFAESI Act, etc.

• Conversant with laws applicable to banking business, corporate laws, employment laws , recovery laws such as DRT Act, SARFAESI Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code,
• Willing to relocate to Varanasi or Navi Mumbai.
• Experience as Corporate law officers in BFSI or as practising advocates at Bar.
