Job Description
As a Canada Corporate Tax Analyst, you'll specialize in Canadian corporate tax compliance and planning. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, conducting tax research, and supporting tax planning initiatives.
You will prepare Canadian corporate tax returns, conduct tax research, and support tax planning for corporate clients. You will also assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from Canadian tax authorities.
- Prepare Canadian corporate tax returns in accordance with Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct tax research on Canadian corporate tax issues.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize corporate tax liabilities.
- Analyze financial statements and accounting records to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian corporate tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare tax provision calculations and related documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and answer tax-related questions.
- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from Canadian tax authorities.
- Contribute to the development of tax strategies and solutions for corporate clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Canadian corporate tax.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian corporate tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax preparation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
